Our new Brazilian + Colombian blend is intended for a wide range of options. We would recommend to use it for espresso, moka pot or automatic machine.

Colombia offers a wealth of possibility in the coffee world. Whether you are looking for a bright and crisp cup, a complex fruity concoction, or a mellow sweet profile, you can source almost any profile from Colombia.

Since late 2019, we have had the fortune of enjoying direct trade with our partners in the southern provinces of Colombia. With their support, we have contributed to bettering the lives of the families of the farmers with whom we work as they are paid between 60-80% above the market price.

Some of these farmers were former fighters of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) who had since left the cause and relied on farming to make ends meet since the peace treaty was ratified in 2016. One of our partners worked on a rehabilitation programme to facilitate the return of former fighters to a sustainable livelihood. Another partner of ours works hands on with the local indigenous communities with a focus on empowering the youth to improve their organic farming methods and, consequently, the quality of their crop. We are proud to have a direct connection to this work, and to see the positive social impact that our work has on these families.

Colombia enjoys two seasons per year: the main harvest runs from September to January; the fly crop from April to August. We import directly from our partners in Colombia twice per year – following each harvest – allowing us to maintain a constant supply of fresh crop throughout the year. Most of what we source from Colombia is organic coffee.

Our Colombian Blend – premium coffee sourced from the Cauca, Huila and Nariño regions of southern Colombia – is our way of connecting Jordan with the indigenous communities of rural Colombia. Why do refer to it as a blend? Well, we always source these beans from more than one farm. Why? Every harvest differs in taste from one another, even when buying beans from the same farm. With our Colombian Blend, we seek to offer a constant and reliable taste profile. By sourcing from more than one farm, we can adjust the quantities and roasting profiles to account for any perceivable sensory differences in the beans themselves, leaving us with a fresh and reliable smooth profile all year round.
