Pour rate, height, duration, turbulence… variables behind extracting a good brew that any skilled barista struggles to maintain consistency in with manual brewing methods. Remember that brew you got just right, then the following day you tried to replicate it only for it to last 10 seconds longer and have an annoying aftertaste? Consistency in manual brewing is a challenge.
That’s one of the reasons why Pete Licata, the 2013 World Barista Champion, collaborated with HARIO to develop the V60 Drip-Assist. Even if you pour differently each time, this device evens out that issue and allows for a consistent dripping over a fixed area on the coffee bed, allowing for much more consistent results.
The V60 Drip-Assist has two holes of differing diameters, allowing for two different pour rates (i.e. two different speeds).
This set includes a transparent plastic V60 and V60 papers (size 02).
